Origin
Château La Rode has been a family property since 1963. Today, the third generation manages the estate.
It is located in Saint-Philippe d’Aiguilhe, on the slopes of Castillon la Bataille, close to Saint-Emilion and 50 km from the North-East of Bordeaux.
Until 2008, a sustainable agriculture was practiced at the château and in 2012, it was oficially certified organic.
Thunevin
Located in Saint Emilion, Jean-Luc Thunevin and his wife Murielle Andraud creates the world famous Château Valandraud and also runs a successful wine négociant business.
Jean-Luc also goes under the nick name "the Bad Boy of Bordeaux" for is unconventional but yet successful style of Bordeaux wine.
